Obituary
Seymour “Sy” Zelick Golden, 100, preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Golden, nee Watson; loving mother of David (Marsha Kessler), and Robert (Beth); adored papa of Sarah, Evelyn, Julia, and Irene; dear brother of the late Edith Hecht. Sy graduated from Tuley High School in 1933, and the University of Michigan in 1937, where he was a proud member of the the Marching Band. He enjoyed music at the Ravinia Festival for his entire life, and instilled a love for music and culture in his children and grandchildren. Graveside service Friday, 11 A.M., at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to JourneyCare Hospice, 2050 Claire Court, Glenview, IL 60025.
